San Jose

Mountain View
Mountain View is one of the major Silicon Valley cities, and has many prominent Santa Clara County companies based there or with a large presence. It’s named for its views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. From its origins as a stagecoach stop, it grew to a large suburb with a pedestrian-friendly downtown and a large population. The city borders Palo Alto and the San Francisco Bay to the north, Los Altos to the south, and Sunnyvale to the east.

Sunnyvale
Living in Sunnyvale offers residents an urban suburban mix feel. The town offers a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families and young professionals live in Sunnyvale and residents tend to be liberal. It’s considered the headquarters location of many technology companies and is a major operating center for many more. It’s also home to several aerospace/defense companies. The public schools are highly rated.

Saratoga
Tucked away in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, Saratoga is a lovely residential community with a small-town feel. The City is well known for its excellent schools, fine dining, unique shops, and distinctive cultural institutions. Saratoga offers a high quality of life to its residents and a chance to escape the hustle of Silicon Valley.

Los Gatos
Los Gatos is ranked the 33rd wealthiest city in the United States. It is located in the San Francisco Bay Area at the southwest corner of San Jose in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Los Gatos is part of Silicon Valley, with several high technology companies maintaining a presence there. Notably, streaming and content creator Netflix is headquartered in Los Gatos and has developed a large presence in the area.

Los Altos
Originally an agricultural town with many summer cottages and apricot orchards, Los Altos is now a town in Silicon Valley. The town is famous for the tree lined streets of Downtown Los Altos, with bright green during summer and lushy colors in fall. Nowhere else can you find commercial zones, offices, grocery stores just a short stroll from unique cafes, boutiques and salons.

Cupertino
Is known for being one of the cities that are part of the so-called “Silicon Valley”, hosting more than 60 high-tech companies such as Apple, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Foursys and Borland. Despite this, local production is minimal; most of these facilities serve as a basis only for product management and planning.

San Francisco
San Francisco is a popular international tourist destination known for its cool summer mist, steep hills, eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture and its famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, trams and Chinatown. The city is also a financial and banking center, home to more than 30 international financial institutions, helping San Francisco become the eighteenth richest city in the world and ninth in the United States.

Gilroy
Gilroy is known for the garlic crops and the Gilroy Garlic Festival, leading to the city’s nickname: Garlic Capital of the World. It is also known for the family vineyards around the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Pleasanton
Just 45 miles east of San Francisco, Pleasanton boasts awesome year-round weather, tons of fun community events, a local fairgrounds, and beautiful outdoor recreational areas. The town offers plenty of community parks as well as its very own regional space.
